BC Glass Arts Association
members show at the Roundhouse Community Centre, Vancouver BC
August 21-30, 2006

The main gallery space is part of the historic Vancouver roundhouse, with the old train tracks in the floor and outside the beautiful window wall is the machinery to reverse the direction of the trains. This is a members exhibit of the BC Glass Arts Association, and the Pacific Pyros were invited to showcase their lampworking.

Left is our display, and below is the lampworking demonstration that we put on for visitors to the show. Joanne Andrighetti organized the demo, and demonstrated along with Sherry Bellamy, Ikuyo Yamanaka and Tamara Garland.

The BCGAA has held three exhibits in this venue, and a silent auction of members work is included, with proceeds going to fund the association.

Members' work includes blown, cast, fused and lampworked glass.

Below is the Pyros work on exhibit:

Melanie Rowe, a Pyros member and past president of the BCGAA, was instrumental in arranging to have us participate in this show. The current president of the BCGAA is Rafael Navarro Leiton, also a member of the Pyros.

Other Pyros members showing their work as BCGAA members are Renata Crowe, Holly Cruise, Lynne Chappell and Joanne Andrighetti.

Thanks to the BCGAA for this opportunity, and we hope that we can join them in future shows.

There will be more photos of the rest of this exhibit at www.bcgaa.org.
