Septembers B&B was hosted by Carol Kostachuk and the theme was Falling Leaves. She challenged us to think back to when we would press leaves in wax paper and add a little crayon shavings and iron. For several of us that translated to making beads with beautiful fall colors. Unfortunately there was no open torch […]
This months B&B was hosted by Kimberley Anderson-Alexander. Her theme was “historical recreation”. It was a very informative meeting. Kimberley explained her theme in detail and showed examples of her interpretation of a particular historic bead, the Hiberno-Norse bead. While this theme was a bit of a struggle for some of us, there were those […]
The time at Elisabeth’s was a blast. It is always wonderful to be under the spell of Elisabeth’s wonderful house, studio and amazing hospitality. The food and wine were all excellent and we all thank you for everything Elisabeth. It was nice to see Kerri Fuhr rejoin the fold and we also welcomed a newcomer […]
May’s B&B was held at Aimee’s studio. Aimee makes the coolest glass straws! Before going into Aimee’s studio for a demo, we enjoyed the warm “summer like” evening out on her 2 level patio. We enjoyed guacamole & chips, various sweets, iced tea and of course beer! The theme this month was a tool swap. […]

Whistler Molten Experience What a great event!! this year the featured headliner was Heather Trimlett and Beth Williams. Heather demonstrated oodles of useful techniques such as laying down a perfect footprint of glass, making twisties, hollow beads and her famous disk bead. Beth demonstrated how to make beautiful, sparkly dichroic stringers. Alexx came in from […]
April’s B&B was hosted by one of our new members Susan Otto-Bain. She has the well equipped studio in behind her husbands “man-cave” which looks like a tikki bar. Susan displayed her beautiful handcarved dichroic pendants as well as demonstrated a couple of CG Bead Rollers she recently aquired. This B&B was very well attended […]
Several Pacific Pyros attended the Fraser Valley Bead Show in it’s new location this past weekend (March 27 – 29). Some of us had a booth while other members came in on Saturday and Sunday to do demos. We had a sweet location for our demos. We were setup in the main lobby just before […]
