Michelle Lusk, Caliente Art Glass, Mission

We all met on a sunny Saturday afternoon at Michelle's new home and studio in Mission. Michelle is a B.C. bead artist and makes her own veiled hand pulled cane. You can check out all her amazing glass at www.calienteglass.com

Here we all are sitting outside on Michelle's beautiful deck.
Elizabeth, Michelle, Kerry and Ania posing for the picture in Michelle's studio.

Some of Michelle's fine work.
Motorcycle Ania, " You go Mama."

Joanne looks at one of Caliente's great visors.

Michelle starts the demo on her goddess beads. She is using the GTS Bobcat torch. Good ventilation with the window right there in front of her.

Michelle is going to demonstrate her goddess beads.

Here Michelle marvers in the waist.
Deb looks on as Michelle marvers the start of the body for the goddess bead.

Here she uses her razor tool to form the lines in the buttocks and the legs.
She adds volume to the buttocks.

Adding shoulders.
Once the shoulders are in add the the breasts and nipples. Michelle constantly kept flashing the bead through the flame for security.

Stringer is then added for the goddess's hair. And here she is! Michelle's beautiful goddess beads.

Deb looks on as Melanie takes a turn at the torch.
Tamara tries out the new pineapple sparkle.

And our ever popular bead exchange. Check out the kiln cast face in the top left by Melanie!
Thank's Michelle for hosting a great Saturday Beer n Beadz. Your demo was great and informing. The Barbecue wasn't half bad either. See you all at the next Beer n Beadz at Cathy Camley's.
