Carol Routh

My life changed when I joined The Molten Experience 2015! It was a total fluke, and I will be forever grateful.  So many inspiring, talented, open-hearted beautiful people! I live in Portland and my son lives in Pemberton, so I have the best of all worlds.

I lack the focus and discipline to do the PPP thing required to get really skillful. I love to try everything, so I stay mediocre at everything. I’ve given up the idea of paying for my glass addiction and am enjoying playing with glass just for the fun of it.

The Portland Polymer Clay Guild is having a button exchange. I said I’d love to participate if I could make my buttons in glass. They said yes, so I am working on figuring out how to make buttons with a shank on the back. I have my 20 pairs, but it’s too much fun to stop now. Perfect project for me – the same challenge but different at the same time.

Thanks to my awesome Canadian glass family and zoom, I’ve managed to mostly maintain my grip on sanity. Thank you ALL!
